Finding the Perfect Wedding Shoe with Sarah Flint

Finding the perfect wedding shoe has been in the back of my mind ever since picking out my wedding dress last month. I’m a foot shorter than my fiancé, so I knew I wanted to wear at least a 2.5-inch heel on our wedding day, but I didn’t want to have aching feet all night. Classic short girl conundrum, right?

Enter Sarah Flint! When the Sarah Flint team reached out asking for me to join their team as a Brand Ambassador, it felt like the stars were aligning. All Sarah Flint shoes are designed with expert Italian craftsmanship to ensure women never have to compromise between feeling and looking good.

When I saw the Perfect Sandal in Napa Gold, it was exactly what I had been searching for the perfect wedding shoe. Our wedding colors are light blue and eucalyptus green with accents of gold, so gold heels seemed like the perfect added touch. I highly recommend picking out your wedding dress first so you can get an idea of what style shoe would work best (block heel, flat, stiletto), and then have the shoes ready to go for your first fitting.

If you are searching for your perfect wedding shoe, here are a few things to consider before saying yes.

Things to Consider:

Venue | Make sure to consider your venue when picking out a wedding shoe. If Matthew and I were getting married on the beach, I would have gone for flat sandals, so that walking on sand wouldn’t be difficult. Likewise, if your wedding or reception is on grass, stiletto heels would be a nightmare and sink into the ground. Considering your venue is the first step to finding your wedding shoe.

Comfort | In my mind, there is nothing worse than aching feet that stop me from dancing the night away, especially at my own wedding. I’ve worn some heels in my life that honestly have zero padding in the footbed, just a solid block. I can’t last more than an hour in heels like this and it takes hours for my feet to recover. My Sarah Flint heels have 6mm of extra footbed padding (YES, please!) and a full rubber outsole for grip.

Height | How high is too high? This point ties hand-in-hand with comfort. Yes, I wanted a heel so I’m closer in height to my fiancé for wedding pictures, but I definitely didn’t want a heel so high that it compromised comfort. The Perfect Sandal comes in both 85mm and 100mm, so I ultimately decided to go with the 85mm.

Price | I personally love Sarah Flint because their shoes are luxury investment pieces that you’ll be able to wear forever. Unlike some other stilettos on the market, Sarah Flint stilettos have a steel rod, so gone are the days of breaking a heel.
