We're Moving!

I can’t believe I’m finally getting to type these words. WE’RE MOVING! The past few months of COVID-19 have been interesting, to say the least; finishing up our senior year of college virtually, virtual graduation, and starting my full-time job remotely. Life has been weird! One thing that has stayed constant throughout these crazy times are Matt and my plans to move up to Washington, D.C. (Or more technically, if you’re familiar with the area, Alexandria.) We knew we’d have to move up sometime this summer, but we really had no idea when Matt would get the ok from his job to move. The uncertainty has been driving me up a wall for months! I am so thankful for a little bit of clarity. If you’re also a recent graduate trying to figure out your next step in a pandemic, you know the uncertainty and confusion I’m talking about!

Well surprise, because the move is starting in ONE WEEK! Our official move-in date is July 18th and I am so excited. All of our stuff is scattered between Blacksburg in Matt’s parents garage and Charlottesville in my parent’s garage. Ugh, so thankful to our families for helping us figure out where to keep everything from our apartments!

Next week, we’ll be driving down to Blacksburg and picking up the Uhaul, packing it with the stuff in Blacksburg, and then driving to Charlottesville and doing the same. Then, bright and early Saturday morning, we hit the road for D.C.

Matthew and I have been dating since October our freshman year of college. October will be our 4-year anniversary, so it honestly made the most sense to move in together. We know how we operate as a team, and we cannot wait to start this next chapter together!
