The Best Affordable Faux Leather Pieces for Fall

I can’t be the only one loving faux leather pieces this fall, right? Spanx faux leather leggings have been a closet staple for many easily the past three fall seasons. It’s not difficult to see why! Faux leather leggings or faux leather joggers add the perfect elevated staple to your closet and give the appearance of being put together, even if you just threw the outfit together and ran out the door!

I’ve you’ve followed along for a while, you’ll know I am no strange to the faux leather trend. I found these Aerie Crackle Leggings my senior year of college as a dupe for the Spanx, and I have truthfully lived in them every fall and winter since. They were also my most sold item for 2019, so I know you guys loved them too!

I just recently purchased a new pair of the Crackle Leggings this fall, because my previous pair had lived through hundreds of cycles in the wash, and I honestly wear them so often, it’s nice to always have a clean pair! (Yes, I’m that obsessed!) These new Crackle Leggings have a different, cross over waist band than the original pair I ordered two years ago. While I definitely preferred the standard high-waisted band so it covered my belly button when I wore then with sports bras, I do have to say this new design is SUPER figure flattering.

For all my petite ladies out there (I’m 5’2” for reference), I like my leggings longer for winter, so I ordered the regular versus the petite sizing. In the image above, I rolled the leggings under to give the allusion of being cropped leggings, but there is easily another 4-5” of fabric in case I want to wear the leggings with booties and have them come down further. The faux leather trend is EVERYWHERE this fall. I picked up this pair of High Waisted Faux Leather Five Pocket Skinny Pant from Express earlier this month, and I am so obsessed with how they pair with a simple turtleneck and pair of booties. This exact pair in the basil color are almost sold out, but the pants are still available in all sizes in the steamer color. For size reference, I did order the petite sizing for these pants since heavier fabrics don’t “faux crop” as well as leggings do.

I’ve also been on the hunt for the perfect pair of faux leather joggers. I ordered a pair from Express back in March 2020, and absolutely LOVEDD them on the model, but they just kind of hung on me and were not figure flatters so I returned them. Since then, faux leather joggers have been more popular, so I’m holding out hope there’s a pair out there that’ll fit and not look like I’m trying to play dress up.
