Summer Activewear with Athleta

Athleta has been my go-to for affordable & high-quality activewear for years. I am super petite (5’2” on a good day) and struggle to find activewear that fits me properly, especially leggings that are the proper length. Although Athleta has plenty of investment pieces, they also have a killer Athleta sale section where I get the majority of my activewear.

I have been searching for the perfect pair of biker shorts for a little over a year now. I purchased a few options from Amazon last year that just fit super awkwardly. They made me feel so uncomfortable I knew I’d never wear them. Honestly, I was expecting these Salutation Stash Pocket II 5” Short to be the same way, but I ended up being absolutely blown away by the quality. They are buttery soft and offer UPF 50+ sun protection.

I truthfully wore the biker shorts and sports bra on repeat at the beach. Although these two pieces weren’t designed to be a set they match perfectly! (The sports bra actually has a matching 7/8 tight.) I’m wearing the Exhale Printed Sports Bra in Serene Riviera Blue, but it is also available in five other patterns. Like the shorts, the sports bra is UPF 50+ and buttery soft.

As mentioned, I almost always shop the Athleta New Markdowns section versus spending full price. Altheta also has a Final Sale section, but because I have a really difficult time finding items that fit me, final sale isn’t worth the risk of being out money if something doesn’t fit.
