My Beauty Must-Haves from the Sephora Sale
I hesitated before writing a post this year about the Sephora Spring Savings Sale. With the state the country is in right now, it seemed a little silly to write about something as frivolous as a beauty sale. However, after an overwhelming number of you all responded “YES” to my Instagram post about whether you wanted to see my must-have products, I decided to sit down and round up items from the sale that are truly worth picking up.
There are three Sephora membership tiers: Insider, VIB (spend $350/yr), Rouge (spend $1000/yr).
Insider | Anyone can become a Sephora Insider for free by simply signing up on their website for email updates. All Insiders can shop the sale from 4/23-4/27 and receive 10% off with code SPRINGSAVE.
VIB | In order to be a VIB member, you have to spend $350 per calendar year. VIB members can shop the sale from 4/21-4/29 and receive 15% off with code SPRINGSAVE.
Rouge | Finally, Rouge members is the highest tier and are able to shop the sale at 20% off from 4/17-5/01 with code SPRINGSAVE.
The breakdown of the sale is a little confusing and something that not many bloggers take the time to explain. I am an Insider member because I spend less than $350 at Sephora per year. Although 10% may not seem like a big discount, beauty products rarely go on sale so any discount is a great time to stock up.
My Beaut Must-Haves:
To be perfectly candid, there are very few products I consider beauty “must-haves” so when I share them it means they’re the real deal.
Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3| Last time I got my hair dyed, the stylist went on and on about how damaged my hair was, and how careful she was being while color treating my hair because it was so damaged. She insisted on applying an Olaplex No. 1 treatment to my hair after coloring. I ended up loving the product and was sent home with a few samples of their products. No. 3 is the same product they apply in the salon except it’s safe to use at home. I suggest getting the 100mL bottle because you only need a tiny amount of this product two times a week.
Aquis 01 Prime Water Defense | We all know that the longer your hair gets, the more difficult it is to keep healthy and happy. Furthermore, I’ve always had super greasy hair I have to wash almost every single day. Aquis’ mantra is “wet hair is weak hair.” In all seriousness though, every time you wash, dry and style your hair it has the opportunity to get damaged. I was first sent this product in a PR package to test, but loved it so much I’ve since purchased some.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel | I have worn the same every day moisturizer ever since high school. In my opinion, this is the best oil-free, lightweight moisturizer for oily skin. It never goes on sale, so I always pick some up when sales like this occur.
St. Tropez Classic Bronzing Mousse|If you follow a lot of beauty bloggers, chances are you’ve heard of this cult-favorite self-tanner. I’ve shared this on my blog multiple time before, but I do not tan outside after my mom’s militant melanoma and my own skin cancer experiences. (I opened up about this on the blog) There is seriously no need to put my own health and wellness at risk for a tan when there are so many AMAZING self-tanning products on the market. St. Tropez, in my opinion, makes the best self-tanning mousse. I only wear it when I want a tan for an event (i.e. prom, a wedding, event) because it’s so expensive, but, man, does it give an amazing tan.
The Ordinary | I have been hesitant to try products from The Ordinary because I’ve heard some iffy things about the brand a few years ago. However, I was recently re-introduced to their products because my little sister loves them. I purchased the Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG, Lactic Acid 10% + HA, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. You guys, I no joke love every single one of these products. They’re inexpensive and affective.
