An Honest Review of Ritual Stress Relief Capsules

Over the past few years, honest reviews have become our bread and butter. Let’s face it, it is sometimes challenging to see through the noise and figure out which products and brands are high quality and worth investing in. Regardless of price, every time we test out a new brand, we are investing time and energy into what can sometimes be a labor-intensive search.

So, when I decided to try out Ritual for the first time, I knew I had to bring you along on the journey.

Honest experience with Ritual stress relief

What is Ritual?

Ritual is a no-B.S. vitamin and supplement brand that focuses on simple, clean, and traceable options—all backed by science. Founded in 2016 by Katerina Schneider, Ritual has since grown into an increasingly popular nutritional supplement brand.

Pros

  • Traceability. Transparency and traceability are two of the brand’s key pillars. When you invest in this brand, you invest in a company that cares about their supply chain, finding the right partners, and working with only the best ingredients.

  • Backed by science. While you would hope all supplement brands could prove they are backed by science, Ritual pitches that they aren’t about pseudoscience and half-truths. Their scientific advisory board boasts top doctors, nutritionists, and scientists, all working toward incorporating research into product innovation.

Cons

  • Subscription-based. One of my biggest gripes with Ritual as a whole, is that it is subscription-based. Some may see this as a pro, but I really dislike subscription-based-only options, especially when I’m trying out the brand for the first time. Granted, there is an option to cancel anytime without a penalty, but I don’t love that model personally. Maybe I’m alone in this!

  • Ritual is expensive. The trade-off for an extensive list of brand pros means the products are tough on your wallet. Once you get past the sticker shock, it makes sense to pay a bit more for quality ingredients that actually work. I don’t know about you, but I’d prefer to pay a bit more for products with a proven track record.

Meet the Chill Pill

So now that we’ve discussed the pros and cons of the brand as a whole, let’s talk about the aptly named “chill pill.” The BioSeries™ Technology Stress Relief supplement or “chill pill” is taken in the morning when cortisol is typically heightened. It includes the following features:

  • Extended-release formulation (8+ hour release)

  • First-of-its-kind BioSeries™ technology

  • Traceable Ingredients: Ashwagandha, L-theanine, and Saffron

  • Packaging made of 100% recycled plastic

The “chill pill” also has a citrus essence, so no need to worry that the pill will have a strange or overpowering taste or smell.

Why I Started Taking Ritual

After 3+ years of taking Equilibria CBD to help manage my stress load, I started feeling drowsy and not fully alert after taking it. This change seemingly came out of the blue, but I immediately knew the drowsy response wasn’t conducive to my weekday routine.

I want to feel like myself, just a less-anxious version. With this in mind, I decided to explore other options besides CBD and ashwaganda kept popping up. Ashwagandha is a benefit-rich evergreen shrub found throughout India, Africa, and the Middle East. It has been clinically studied to support the body’s natural cortisol response and reduce stress.

My Experience with Ritual

At the time of writing this post, I am one week into using the Ritual “chill pill” in place of my Equilibria regular strength daily softgel. Almost immediately I noticed a difference in my work-induced anxiety. I took the supplement first thing in the morning while eating breakfast. Throughout the day I noticed tasks that normally sent me on a downward spiral were more manageable. I wasn’t drowsy and felt like I fully had my wits about me.

A true testament to the effectiveness of these “chill pills” is that I started taking them the week I had to pay taxes. (For all my business owners, you know how stressful and painful paying taxes is!) I’m not ashamed to admit that this task typically leaves me in stress-induced tears. However, this year that was not the case. While I felt anxiety, I still remained relatively level-headed and could clearly think through the task without spiraling down an anxious rabbit hole.

This story perfectly sums up my entire experience. The Ritual BioSeries™ Technology Stress Relief helps me achieve my goal of feeling and thinking like myself, just without the constant nagging anxiety and stress that often takes over. While it has only been a week, I’ve already been impressed with the results and am thankful for the relief from work-induced anxiety. As I continue using Ritual, I’ll update this post with my experience.
