TULA Skincare Review

In early November, I did an Instagram poll on stories to gauge the interest in a TULA Acne Clearing + Tone Correcting Gel skincare review post. The poll results were a resounding yes, but I waited until I completed my first bottle to publish a complete review.

SHOP THE POST:

TULA is a probiotic-based skincare system started by Dr. Roshini Raj that aims to improve your health, inside and out. Just as probiotics help calm and soothe your stomach, they have the same benefits for distressed skin.

I purchased TULA in early October and consistently used it every night for my first month. The first couple of weeks, my skin had a significant purging period where I broke out on my cheeks for one of the first times in months. Other than new breakouts, I didn't notice a drastic difference in my skin. There was no change in my skin tone or acne scars.

After my skin had time to adjust to the product, and I knew it wouldn't dry my skin out too much, I began using the gel both morning and night from November until January 15th. I hoped that this twice-a-day regimen would give my skin a kick in the right direction.

Truth be told, I was on the fence about how I felt about this product for some time. It wasn't until I ran out of the Acne Clearing + Tone Correcting Gel that I realized how beneficial this system was for my skin. Only three days after running out of product, I had not one, not two, but FIVE new breakouts on my chin, nose, and around my upper lip area. UGH! Unfortunately, when I first ran out, the correct gel was out of stock. You know I ordered more the second this product was back in stock! Be sure to snag your bottle before they sell out again!!

Results after I finished my first bottle of treatment. No pronounced breakouts and an overall even skin tone.

PROS

  • A lot of acne products I've tried in the past leave my skin feeling dry and irritated. This gel, however, actually prevents dryness with probiotics, hyaluronic acid and willowherb. Thanks to these key ingredients, my skin never felt chapped and I didn't have to readjust my everyday routine to combat flakey skin.

  • I first wanted to try out this product with the hopes it would help heal my acne scars, and although it didn't make enough of a difference on my acne for me to tell a difference, it worked WONDERS on pimples. No joke, if I felt a breakout coming on, it would be cleared up by the morning.

  • I loved that this product was a gel rather than a cream, so it felt light enough on my skin to use both in the morning under my makeup and night as well.

  • TULA is a certified cruelty-free brand that doesn't test on animals!
