36 Hours in Charlottesville
I had a few days off of work earlier this week, so Matt drove up for a quick visit! The weather was beautiful, but because I have an internship as well as a job this summer, I had to stay close to my computer. So instead of hiking, which is our normal go-to, we took two short trips to some of my favorite places.
Carter's Mountain
Our first stop was Carter's Moutain. Although this is normally a fall destination, it was still just as beautiful in the summertime! We grabbed some peach ice cream and peach cider donuts and found a place to sit and enjoy the view. I shared a TON of Instagram posts and stories from our trip!
I'm obsessed with this hat from J.Crew Factory! I got it on sale for only $15 and wore it all weekend. The first time casually with a white cami and shorts, and then the next day with my favorite white dress (shown at King Family below).
(I’m not entirely sure how/why my arms look so orange in this picture… I promise they don’t look like that in person!)
King Family Vineyards
On Tuesday, we drove the short 30 or so minutes to King Family Vineyards. Neither one of us are 21 yet, but they are amazing about letting people come and explore. We packed sandwiches and snacks and spent the afternoon enjoying a picnic lunch and relaxing. (We know we're already an old married couple and we totally accept it.) Because we went on a Tuesday at 12 pm, there were only a couple other people there. Matt was amazing a shot some pictures for me!
