Is it just me, or doesn’t it seem crazy that Christmas is less than a week away? I hope your weekend was filled with holiday parties, baking yummy goodies, and drinking plenty of champagne!
Holiday decorations at my parent’s house
This weekend I drove to David’s Bridal in Roanoke to look for a formal dress for Ring Dance in March. For those of you who do not know what Ring Dance is, it is basically a formal dance for juniors at Virginia Tech where we get dressed up, and exchange class rings with our dates. I’m already on the hunt for a dress because I know it’s more than likely I’ll have to get it altered. Gotta love being super petite and only 5 ft 2. I fell in love with this dress online, but they didn’t have it in store.
Although I was looking for a dress for Ring Dance, I found so many dresses perfect for a holiday, Christmas party or New Year’s party.
I was obsessed with this dress, but it was, unfortunately, too big in the back. I would have ended up needing to get an inch or more off of the length as well. By that time, the dress would have been over $200. However, I love how conservative the high neckline is with the strappy and low back.
I also tried on this red dress and it fit like a glove! I used to stray as far away from red as possible because it is such a hard color to pull off, but this dress was so fun! Although these dresses are for a formal gathering, many of us, myself included, are not going to formal gatherings this holiday season. Thankfully for us, there are so many other holiday-ready pieces available for any occasion! I’m sharing some of my favorites below!
