How to Become a Morning Person

I’m an early to bed, early to rise kind of girl! It has been this way for as long as I can remember.  I do have my fair share of a.m. struggles, but I’m definitely a morning person. For all you night owls out there, these tips will sound super painful. These tips are honestly what I use to ensure my early mornings are as painless as possible.

  1. Sleep with your blinds open. I know this sounds weird, but I would so much rather wake up to the sun rising than to an alarm. Having natural light come into the room is the perfect reminder to not waste the day away.

2. Have the coffee automatically set to brew. Waking up to the smell of coffee brewing?! Umm yes, please!

3. Go to bed earlier! Stop all caffeine (soda, tea, coffee, etc.) at 4 pm. Any later at it has the ability to hinder your sleep. Also, if you are on your phone before falling asleep, put your phone on Night Shift mode.

4. Think of something exciting that’s happening that day. The thing that always puts a smile on my face is when I wake up to a message from one of my amazing readers! You guys are the best.

5. Always sleep in cute pajamas. It honestly makes me feel like I’m winning when I wake up and look somewhat put together. (Is that weird??)

What are the tricks you use to make mornings less painful?

I’ve always been a morning person. Even when we’re on vacation, I get up early to explore the city while everyone else sleeps.

  2. Loved these ideas! Thanks for sharing them I’m going to sleep with the blinds open tonight to try skipping the alarm!
