Sorry for the delay in getting this post up! I’m still getting adjusted to the new website. What do you guys think? If you have any thoughts or changes you want to see, please email me! I’d love to chat.
I’m finally getting around to sharing about our spring break trip to Connecticut. We did so much over the break that I broke our week down into two separate posts. The first is Monday- Wednesday and the next post will be Thursday and Friday.
For spring break, my family all traveled up to Connecticut for a very chilly week. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal, (I mean it is Connecticut in March!) we all had a great time.
I started off the week with a much needed cut and color from Rachel at Sol Beauty Salon. The guys made fun of how long it took, but I can’t help that I have a LOT of hair!

On Tuesday, we all traveled to New York City for a day of shopping, yummy food, and a broadway show. We ended up seeing the Lion King, and it was honestly pretty incredible! I would recommend it for audiences of all ages.

Notice the beautiful rose on the table? Matt “stole” it for me, and I carried it around with me for the rest of the night. (a.k.a I made him ask because I felt too guilty!)
On Wednesday, we drove to Brooklyn to watch Virginia Tech play in the ACC tournament. I’m so glad we had the opportunity to cheer on the Hokies! My mom got tickets for all day Wednesday, so we got there just in time for the second half of the Duke vs. Clemson game.
We had time to kill in-between the Duke game and the start of the VT game, so my dad took us to this small Israeli restaurant, Miriam. Matt and I both got sizzling shrimp, housemade Za’atar flatbread, and then split baklava for dessert (I ate 90% of it). If you ever find yourself in the area, definitely try the homemade baklava! It’s delicious but very, very sweet, so if you’re a coffee fan, it is perfect with a cup of coffee.
Stayed tuned for post #2!
